Asante Gold

Fly-whisk made of elephant tail with several multicoloured glass beads and cast gold ornaments threaded onto tail hairs. Beads bound on either side with black cotton thread to prevent movement. Handle has textured sheet gold surface decorated with hollow gold hemispheres on front and back; two bands of alternating gold and silver flat thread arranged in chevron patterns on either side of grip.
