What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

Cleaning for photography and redisplay. Remove tarnish. Slight use of metal polish may be neccessary.Req no 53464

Tarnished. Req no 53464

Treatment details
Tarnish was removed using Goddards Hotel Silver Dip by immersion and brushing. Washed in running tap water. Dried with kleenex tissue and hot air from blower. Gently polished using Goddard's long term silver cloth (comp. unknown). Gently polished using anti-static cloth.
