Gown (riga). Composed of four sections of machine woven dyed cream cotton machine sewn together. There is a large oblong pocket covering about 1/3rd of the body panel. The gown is then decorated with extensive embroidery in dyed red, yellow, green, blue, black, pink and bleached white silk. The patterns are geometric in shape and arrangement and can be found around the neck extending to a large spiral on the back of the gown. The shapes are predominantly made up of stripes. The sleeves and base of the gown are hemmed.
