Iron buckle: oval inclined loop with two honeycomb bands, ladder pattern border, etc; trapezoidal plate with silver encrusted and inlaid and brass inlaid scrolled fret borders around panel with three-looped, ladder-pattern, Style II animal interlace; deep notch in one side; separate tongue with basal plate, not certainly belonging.

Unrecorded, but said to be from "the district of the Rhine and Moselle", Germany; recent research has shown that the vendor has been notoriously unreliable.
