Object consists of several fragments of textile down and copper alloy. Organic material friable and extremely fragile. Copper alloy corroded but stable. Packing inadequate.
Fragments examined for joins, join found between two fragments of copper alloy, re-adhered with HMG Paraloid B72. The fragments were repacked in plastazote lined with acid free tissue and placed in a crystal box. Very small fragments were placed in gelatine capsules.
