Gold clip from the upper end of the sword-grip. The clip has a straight back and curved sides, and is decorated with filigree S-scrolls. Three gold rivets secure it to the sword-grip. One of two such clips, with 1939,1010.24.

February 2002 Req.No:77314 Dirty and dusty. Soil deposits and other debris in the filigree scrolls. CRB
February 2002 Cleaned with acetone applied on cotton wool swabs. The soil and dirt was removed using a pin vice and puffer. CRB
