Gilt plaster rim-mount from shield 1939,1010.94, in form of animal head. Cabochon garnet eyes, eyebrows in relief, with central ridge and stamped and beaded lines of decoration. Lower end of snout is missing, and clip has snapped off from top of head; fragmentary.
