Object fragments are fused in large lumps to the metal rim of the labels. Some of the fragments include gold foils are very fragile and dirty.
The dust was removed by a puffer. Lumps of fragments sepparated mechanically using a scalpel and corrosion removed. The gold foils and some silver fragments were consolidated by using 5% Paraloid B72 (ethyl methacrylate copolymer) in Acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone) and Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol, methanol) 50:50. The loose fragments were divided away from the bulk and put into gelatin capsules. Packaged - inert support packaging in crystal boxes.
