Reason for treatment
Clean, consolidate, repair and re-pack as necessary.
Multiple fragments very friable and fragile in unsuitable packing.The metal rimmed labels have corroded together with fragments of the object.
The object fragments were removed from the corroded metal rimmed labels using a scalpel under the microscope.Packed object in plastazote lined with Jiffy Foam within a crystal box. The box was labelled with the registration number on the lid and on a tyvek label inserted under the packing.
