strap-fitting / shoe-buckle

Silver strap-end, plain; damaged, consisting of two pieces joined together. Part of one rivet and an indentation for a second rivet-hole at the broad edge. A number of cuts radiate from one corner near the broad edge, on one face of the strap-end. Backing of a silver buckle (?). Excavated from Area C and shoes complex.

Object in unsuitable packing.
Packed object with a plastazote lining within a crystal box. The box was labelled with the registration number on the lid and on a tyvek label inserted under the packing.
