Sword (transitional rapier) with a straight, slender, double-edged steel blade of diamond-section, a figure-of-eight guard lacking its shells. Part of the guard remains, comprising two short quillons and two short finger-loops. The grip is missing and there is a spherical pommel with tang-button. The whole object is extensively corroded and covered in black paint.
