Reason for treatment
stabilise - chemically and physically. Clean, repair and support as neccessary
very small areas of possibly active corrosion. detached limbs. areas of old restoration, fill and solder.
delacquered by soaking in acetone. localised reduction was attempted, but the objects appeared to be unconductive and as they were fairly stable it was decided to to reduce them. they were relacquered with 2.5% solution of Paraloid B72 in acetone. the limbs were reattached with HMG paraloid B72 and support to the joins was made by adhereing Nylon gpossamer across the joins with HMG cellulose nitrate adhesive.
