Sun; the deity in the sky riding on a fiery chariot drawn by four hourses; a wheel of the chariot with a sign of the zodiac inscribed: 'LEO'; below many athletes engaged in martial exercises and trials of strength; on the right a king seated judging the contests, with a young counsellor at his side whose left leg is inscribed: 'DROIT MANT'; in the left background three men worship at an altar lettered: 'AVE REGINA' on the frieze. c.1464.

- The print belongs to the so-called 'original' series of 'Planets', a group of engravings created probably around 1464 in a style called by Hind 'Fine Manner'. For this group see the entry for Hind A.III.1a (1845-8-25-474).
This is the first of the two states of the print in the BM (the second state: 1845-8-25-471).
