- Curator's comments
- These studies of a greyhound are preparatory to the portrait of Dyck’s Portrait of James Stuart, Duke of Lennox and Richmond, which is now in The Met (inv. no. 89.15.16). For further comment on this drawing and the study of the duke himself also in the British Museum, see inv. 1874,0808.142.
