Curved leather fragment from backing of rim of shield 1939,1010.94. The fragment has round and square projections on the inner edge, which are pierced for rivets. There are additional rivet holes in the main backing.

Clean, consolidate, repair, repack as neccessary.
wood and leather fragment very friable and fragile. in unsuitable packing, mounted on a board with uncovered pins
Packed object in plastazote lined with acid free tissue within a crystal box. The box was labelled with the registration number on the lid and on a tyvek label inserted under the packing.
