Catagory "D" from survey of pots being moved to study centre in Jan. 2000,= "immediate conservation work necessary before the move": In detail = "Surface clean, minor dismantling, minor removal of old restoration, consolidation and rebonding, as required."
Previously restored , gapfilled with plaster which is now unstable.
Surface cleaned with a soft brush. Cracks consolidated using HMG heatproof and waterproof adhesive (cellulose nitrate) diluted slightly with acetone using a micro pipette or pipette.
