Surface clean only; support holes with cotton fabric and stitching; secure smaller holes with new warps; remove pin; attach number label.
Dusty with a pin through one area. Several holes of various sizes.
Pin was removed and the blanket vacuumed to remove surface dust. Cotton fabric coloured to match using Helizarin pigments, was used as a support material for the larger holes secured with silk monofilament couching threads. No rewarping was carried out. Rolled interleaved with acid-free tissue paper for storage. Treatment carried out by the Textile Conservation Centre under contract, supervised by AAR.
