- Register 1954:
Nepal.
The female figures were offerings by women making a request at a shrine or temple, the others may be toys.
All were found in temples or old houses in Kathmandu or Patan.
They were made by the non-mongoloid Nawar of the Kathmandu Valley and date from before or not long after the Gurkha conquest c. 1840.
These figurines are new being reproduced and made to look old artificially.
