From acquisition notes "bracelet". Said to be made of "root of a sea plant", or of material exemplified by no.82 in collection (coral)- see Register notes for no.82. See also As1956,09.82Register: 'Vegetable fibre ring, joined and partly bound with iron or copper wire, reddened. "Gelang Akar Bahar - bracelet made from root of a sea plant and used as a remedy against rheumatism. Madura or S. [South] Java."'
