- Description

Weapon and armour (forearm guards) made from wood, coconut fibre (coir) and shark teeth. Five wooden ribs are covered in two-ply coir binding. Attached to each of these wooden ribs are two lengths of wooden struts with a central row of shark teeth which are attached through a single drilled hole in each tooth with two-ply coir cord. At one end the wooden ribs culminate in plaited coir loops for fingers to pass through, at the other end is a plaited coir cord for fastening around the elbow.
