Reason for treatment
AUG98 Tarnish on the surface, Black spots, Remains of gilding. Dirt in crevices. Plate with monogram is loose.
Req 67219 AUG98 Cleaned using Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol, methanol) applied on cotton wool swabs. Some dirt removed with a needle. Tarnish removed using Goddards hotel silver dip applied using cotton wool swabs. Rinsed with distilled water / solvent on cotton wool swabs. Washed in warm tap water with 1% Synperonic n (Non ionic detergent, nonylphenol ethylene oxide condensate) added. Dried on paper towel and with warm air.
