Reason for treatment
Clean to remove heavy tarnish. Use of polish may be necessary.
Tarnished and surface dirt and corrosion, especially in crevices.
Cleaned using Hotel silver dip (acidified thiourea), applied using swabs. Cleaned manually using pin vice. Gently polished using Silvo silver and chrome (cotton wadding,white spirit,Newburgh chalk,china clay). Washed in Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol,methanol) applied on swabs. Gently polished using Goddard's long term silver cloth (comp. unknown).
