Terracotta Campana relief: Medea seated to right, holding out a patera of food to a serpent coiled around the tree. The complete scene would have shown Jason on the right hand side, of whom the hand survives on the fragment, trying to steal the Golden Fleece, which can be seen hanging from the tree.

- Curator's comments
- No complete plaque showing this scene survives from antiquity, and the only two fragments showing a near-complete Medea are in the British Museum collections (the other one being 1772,0307.282). Only one fragment of the right hand side, showing Jason and three Colchians, survives (Louvre, Campana 131).
Von Rohden and Winnefeld argue that this relief was produced in the same workshop as relief 1891,0626.1 (D501).
The relief can be seen in a drawing owned by Charles Townley (2010,5006.352), and in sketches made by Nollekens (?) of Charles Townley's collection of terracotta reliefs: in 2010,5006.1914, as nr 31 (52).
