salt-cellar / pyxis
Black glazed pottery pyxis with a concave shaped body and a convex shaped interior an overhanging ledge rim and a ring foot, fragments missing from the rim, the lid is missing, the glaze is chipped and has worn grey in places, and there are traces of a whitish deposit.

Found unregistered, but it is noted in the register that it was acquired before 1851.
