Black glazed pottery skyphos in the style of Nola, with a ring foot reserved on the base, one side cracked, the upper surface of one of the handles is damaged, the surface is pitted on the interior and exterior, the glaze has worn to a silver metallic colour in places, and there are traces of a whitish deposit.

Noted in the register that it was found previously unregistered. It may possibly be the object registered as 1756.0101.829 and therefore part of the Sloane Collection as suggested in the register. However, it is noted on the record card that if the additional id number which is not very clear is actually 329, rather than 829, it may not have been previously registered in the Sloane Collection and could be from the Hamilton Collection.
