Like a storyboard, this etching and VS 89, made the day before, relate the death of the Minotaur. The scene takes place under the hot sun in a bullfighting arena rather than in the dark labyrinth of classical legend. In this etching all the spectators have become Marie-Thérèse to whom the dying Minotaur makes his final appeal.
