See item 123 in the catalogue. This annual picture-book of Manchuria was produced for the South Manchuria Railway Company between 1934 and 1941. The SMRC was founded just after the Russo-Japanese war in 1906 and operated a wide variety of commercial enterprises as well as social services for Japanese immigrants in Manchuria. 2594 refers to the number of years after the enthronement of the first Emperor of Japan. It includes important work of Fuchikami Hakuyo who had been working in the publicity department of the South Manchuria Railway Co. since 1928. Only three copies in OCLC. (Titus Boeder)
