The official organ of the Japan Photographic Society, this monthly magazine was founded by Minami Minoru in April 1926 and it ran until November 1940, making the present vol. xxix, 1-5 the issues published before the consolidation of photographic magazines. It was strongly influenced by Fukuhara Shinzo and from August 1929 carried the subtitle 'the light and its harmony' in direct reference to his ideas. (Titus Boeder, 4/2007)
