What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

For an excellent introduction to runes, we recommend Martin Findell’s book published by British Museum Press.

    An important special issue of Asahi Camera discussing the latest stylistic and technical developments. Includes articles by Kimura Ihei, Fukuda Katsuji, Nishiyama Kiyoshi, Fukuhara Shinzo, Takayama Masataka, and Nakayama Iwata. Of special importance is an article by Hanawa Gingo on the photograms of the famous avant-garde photographer Ei-Q. The appendix lists all the photography clubs in the country together with membership numbers and addresses, as well as a list of photographic supply stores in Japan. Rare. No copy in OCLC.
