Porcelain brush-washer with flaring, fluted sides. The brush-washer has a white body and dark blue glaze. There is a double line incised just above the foot. There is an inscription on the base. The foot ring is unglazed, and burnt pale orange-brown.

Lobed brush-washer with blue glaze
The form of this dish is modelled on an early fifteenth century shape. It is covered with a monochrome blue glaze and carries an incised Jiajing reign mark on the base.
