Room 95 label text: PDF B593 Vase with robin’s egg glaze This vase is covered with a mottled glaze which connoisseurs traditionally describe as robin’s egg because of its similarity to a robin’s egg. During the 18th century a range of opaque turquoise glazes were made at Jingdezhen. These were coloured with copper and opacified with arsenic. Porcelain with robin’s egg glaze Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province Qing dynasty, about 1700–1800
