Description
Porcelain dish with gently rounded sides. Underglaze blue with the Eight Immortals in a landscape around the sides, and the God of Longevity (Shoulao) seated on a rock with deer and crane in a roundel in the centre. There is an inscription on the base.

Room 95 label text: PDF B603 Dish with the Eight Immortals and Shoulao This porcelain dish is one of a pair. It is painted in underglaze blue with the Eight Immortals in a landscape around the sides, and the God of Longevity (Shoulao) seated on a rock with a deer and crane in a roundel in the centre. There is an inscription on the base萬曆年製 純忠堂用 (Wanli nian zhi Chunzhong Tang yong ‘Made in Wanli period for use in the Hall of Sincere Loyalty’).
