Cylindrical porcelain ink-slab. Underglaze blue with four characters in ogival reserved panels against diaper and trellised grounds. On the top, blue leaf with four characters around the edges and unglazed peach-shaped area with channel around the edge. There is an inscription on the base.

Ink stone with inscriptions
This ink stone has a peach-shaped mixing area for the ink and is decorated with patterns and inscriptions. On the base is the family name Dai.戴. The four characters around the sides read 狀元登科 (Zhangyuan Dengke ‘to announce the most successful scholar’). The characters on the top on the stick of bamboo read 萬年平安 (Wan nian ping an ‘ Ten thousand years of peace’) and on the leaf 隻仝牾寿 (zhitong wushou ‘together we find longevity’).

銘文硯臺
這件瓷硯磨墨部分為桃形,裝飾以圖案和銘文。外底為姓氏“戴”。側面四字讀作“狀元登科”(高登榜首)。上部竹竿上的字為“萬年平安”,葉子上寫“隻仝牾寿”(共享長壽)。
