Square porcelain dish. Covered in red enamel ground, and painted in underglaze blue with a double square with a dragon among waves,a shou (longevity) character at the top and Buddhist wan characters right and left. On the exterior, Buddhist lions and a brocaded ball. There is a mark on the base.

Square dish with underglaze blue decoration on a red ground
This square porcelain dish is painted inside with an underglaze blue dragon among waves and 壽 (shou ‘longevity’) character at the top and 卐 (wan ‘all encompassing good’) characters to the right and left. Outside are lions and brocade balls. There is a six-character underglaze blue Jiajing mark on the base.

方形瓷盤內繪青花波濤雲紋,上有壽字,左右兩側為卐(萬,意涵一切吉祥)字,寓意萬壽無疆等。外部為獅子戲球紋。外底署青花六字嘉靖年款。
