Flower holder with celadon glaze
This squat vessel is fashioned with three holes in the top for holding the stems of plants or for feathers. Although the iron-pigmented, high-fired glaze echoes celadons of the Song period (AD 960–1279), the form of the vessel is new. Despite ruling for only twelve years, the Yongzheng era is arguably the most creative period of Qing ceramic production at Jingdezhen.
