    Bowl with impressed seal mark

This bowl is shaped with a five-lobed rim. The lobes are further defined inside the bowl with trailed slip lines. In the centre it is impressed with a seal mark. This is probably a workshop mark. The bowl is covered with a pale olive-green glaze. Such low quality celadons were commonly exported across Asia in the Southern Song (AD 1127–1279) and Yuan dynasty (AD 1279–1368). This bowl may have been made in the Longquan region but as such marks are rarely seen there it could have been made at another southern celadon kiln.
