Dish with a figure of a bearded scholar
This dish is decorated in pale enamels with the figure of a bearded scholar seated on a large rock beneath a pine tree, watching two roosters fighting. There is a six-character Chenghua mark in a double circle in underglaze blue on the base. The seal inside the dish reads 片石 (pianshi ‘sliver of stone’) on the inside.
