Conical jun ware bowl
Although some scholars believe some very fine Jun wares were sent as tribute to the Northern Song court, most of the output from the Jun kilns appears to have been intended for non-imperial consumers and the ware was rarely exported. This conical bowl might have been used for drinking tea. Concentrated copper was brushed onto the bowl to create the purple zig-zag motif on the pale blue glaze.
