Dish with dragons
The base of this white porcelain saucer-dish has an apocryphal six-character underglaze blue reign mark of the Hongzhi period (AD 1488–1505). It is decorated inside in the walls with an anhua (hidden decoration) slip design of dragons chasing flaming pearls. Qing Kangxi copies of Ming Hongzhi porcelains are more finely potted and regular in shape.
