This rounded bowl has a flat base. An iron-brown glaze covers the inside and the thickened rolled rim. The outside is scored with horizontal lines around the neck in two bands and with concentric lines around the body. It is biscuit-fired. There is a horizontal row of studs which are covered with an opaque cream glaze around the shoulder. These bowls were made in imitation of basketwork rice-measures. A related example was recovered from the Shinan ship wreck dateable to AD 1323.
