Blue-and-white bowl with birds perched on branches
This miniature bowl has contrasting decoration inside and outside. Outside it is decorated with birds perched on flowering branches and inside with Tibetan/Sanskrit characters. The inscription is written in concentric circles, rather like a prayer inside a Tibetan prayer wheel. As the bowl is rotated, the prayer is released. The base carries a Wanli reign mark in underglaze blue.
