Porcelain stem cup with rounded sides, everted mouth rim and hollow spreading foot. The stem cup is glazed on the base and inner stem. There are three fish in underglaze copper red on the exterior. There is a mark in underglaze cobalt blue in the centre.

Stem cup with copper-red fish
Chinese people regard paired fish as a rebus (visual pun) for abundance as the words for both fish 魚 and abundance 餘, are pronounced yu. The base has an apocryphal six-character underglaze blue Xuande reign mark.
