Bowl with lotus scrolls
Production at Jingdezhen expanded dramatically over the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries when this small bowl was made. It is painted in underglaze blue with a chrysanthemum in the centre inside and with lotus scroll outside. The bowl has an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark on the base.
