There is a roundel of a galloping horse and waves in underglaze blue in the centre of the interior, a band of stylised leaves near the mouthrim on the exterior, and two Buddhist lions playing with brocade balls on a ribbon ground on the exterior. There is an inscription on the base.

This blue-and-white bowl is decorated with lions playing with brocade balls. On the base is an inscription 天祿佳器 (Tianlu jiaqi 'fine vessel of Tianlu').
