A set of casts of intaglios and cameos once in the collection of Sir Richard Worsley.
- Height: 23.5 centimetres (of box)
Jenkins & Sloan 1996
Some pieces from Sir Wiilliam Hamilton's second gem collection are represented here. At the bottom of Tray 2, for example, is a cast of one of his gems (Jenkins & Sloan 1996, no. 114). Interestingly, this is paired with a cast of the stone though to be a portrait by Nathaniel Marchant of Emma Hamilton (Jenkins & Sloan 1996, no. 113). The intaglio of Niobe passed from Worsley upon his death into the Earl of Yarborough's collection.
