Lucky red envelope ['xiao hong bao' in Mandarin; 'lai see' in Cantonese]. Gold and multi-xolour on red. This envelope was designed for giving gifts of money at Chinese New Year and at birthdays.(obverse) The design is printed on a yellow rectangular background within a gold patterned border. The design features the Three Stellar Deities, with two boy attendants and one female attendant. The character 壽 [long life] is repeated as part of the pattern on Shoulao's robe.
(reverse) The inscription on the back names the bank. The inscription on the flap gives instructions for use.
