Workshop was published in a total of eight issues between September 1974 to July 1976. It was the mouthpiece of the Workshop Photography School, which had been founded by some of the most avant-garde photographers at the time (Tomatsu, Hosoe, Moriyama, Fukase, Araki, and Yokosuka Noriaki). The present issue includes a special feature on 'selling photographs' with contributions by the above-mentioned as well as Morinaga Jun, Narahara Ikko, Kawada Kikuji, Ishimoto Yasuhiro, Tatsuki Yoshihiro, and Sawatari Hajime. An advert in the front announces a sale of photographs at Shiseido in the Ginza: Prints were priced at Yen 30,000 each, regardless of the photographer. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
