Besu-tan shashincho: Shiroi kaze (Ueda Shoji Photo Album: Brilliant Scenes)
- Besu-tan shashincho: Shiroi kaze (Ueda Shoji Photo Album: Brilliant Scenes)
Photobook. First edition. Text in English and Japanese.
- Published in: Tokyo-to
All the images in the present book were taken with a 35mm Pentax AE SLR camera to which Ueda had attached a Kodak Vest Pocket achromatic lens that was manufactured around 1920. While the delicately blurred effect is very reminiscent of the 'pictorialists' of the early Showa period, the subject matter of children or landscapes are unmistakably Ueda's, while the colours contribute to a very modern feel. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
