This is Takanashi's last in a series of books documenting the changing face of Tokyo. It is Takanashi's first book in colour since 'Machi' (1977) and it brings home that fact that a lot has changed in colour reproduction over the last twenty-seven years. A lot has changed in Tokyo too. Leafing through the book one suddenly comes across a small 20pp. booklet of b.-w. photographs entitled 'Windscape' which were all taken through the window of a train. Includes two essays by Akasegawa Genpei and the Minato Chihiro. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
