Vintage Takanashi. The motto of the book is a quote by the modern French writer Jean-Marie G. Le Clezio 'I walk on this flatland with never any purpose'. During the '80s and '90s Takanashi travelled between Okinawa and Hokkaido, exploring the dichotomy between time and timelessness. The title hints at a mystical primal landscape, a notion that is closely associated with Shintoism. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
